The University of Jammu has announced one last offline special on-spot round for vacant seats on September 9 and 10, 2026. The notice matters if you missed an earlier allocation, did not complete admission, or are still looking for a seat in a programme with vacancies. It is a new final stage in the university’s 2026-27 admission cycle, not a reopening of every earlier application window.

What is new
UG-PG Admission Notification-20, dated 3 September 2026, calls the September 9–10 exercise the last and final offline special on-spot round. It is for vacant seats for the 2026-27 session. The university has placed the notice on its official Admissions 2026-27 page and linked the admission portal there.
Because this is the final round, applicants should not assume that a programme or campus listed in an older vacant-seat matrix will still have a seat. Availability can change after each allocation and reporting stage. The official notice and its detailed guidelines are the documents to use for the programme-wise list, reporting location, time and fee instructions.
What to do before September 9
Open the official JU Admissions 2026-27 page and read Notification-20 and its guidelines.
Check that your programme is included and note the stated reporting venue, date, time and documents. Do not rely on an old WhatsApp forward or a July seat matrix.
Keep your application details, marksheets, category or domicile documents where applicable, photographs and other programme-specific papers ready in original and photocopy form.
Confirm the fee and payment method in the notice. A seat is not secure merely because you report; follow the stated verification and payment steps.
Why this is a real last call
On-spot admission is useful precisely because it gives students another route after the main counselling rounds, but it is also less forgiving: seats are limited and the university has labelled this round final. For Jammu-region students comparing a late university option with a private college or a move outside the region, the two-day window is a practical chance to check what remains before the cycle closes.
The university’s page also says that admission information and programme details should be checked against the latest notification. Treat September 9–10 as the dates to plan around, then verify the exact course-level instructions before travelling.
