Trust & transparency
Editorial Standards
JammuBeat is a youth-focused digital news platform for Jammu. These are the standards every story, event listing and job post on the site is held to.
Sourcing & verification
We base every report on verified facts. News, event and job leads are corroborated against at least two separate, reputable primary sources — established J&K newspapers, official university and government notices, and verified official channels — before we publish. Dates, numbers, names and notification/order numbers are re-checked against those sources. Leads that can't be independently verified are dropped, not published with a hedge.
Jobs & events
Every job listing links to the official application or notification, and we resolve event details to the original organiser or ticketing source rather than an aggregator. Expired job posts are removed automatically. Always confirm eligibility, fees and deadlines against the official notice before applying.
Corrections policy
We correct errors promptly. If you spot a factual mistake in any article, event or job post, email hello@jammubeat.com with the URL and the correction. Substantive corrections are updated on the page and noted where the change affects the meaning of the story.
Ownership & independence
JammuBeat is an independent digital publication covering Jammu city and the wider Jammu & Kashmir region for young residents. Sponsored or partner content, when it appears, is clearly labelled and kept separate from editorial coverage. For our scope and mission, see the About page.
