If you missed your window into the four-year undergraduate programme or B.P.E.S at one of Jammu University's non-government affiliated colleges this year, there's a second chance. The University's College Development Council has issued a fresh re-open notice, dated August 4, restarting admission to FYUGP and B.P.E.S (4 Years) in non-government colleges for the 2026-27 academic session — with an offline application window that opens today.
The story so far
JU had already pushed its main FYUGP and B.P.E.S admission deadline to July 23 earlier this session, after weather disruption and a fee-hike protest ate into the original timeline. That round has now closed — but the College Development Council's new notice opens a second, offline route into the same programmes at non-government colleges, for students still without a seat.
What's new: the August 5 to September 7 schedule
August 5, 2026, from 10:00 am — offline application forms open, with a late fee of ₹300 (total ₹550 + ₹300 = ₹830).
August 20, 2026, up to 4:00 pm — last date to submit the offline application form with late fee.
August 22, 2026, from 12:00 noon — first merit list, with waiting list, displayed.
August 24 (from 12:00 noon) to August 25, 2026 (up to 4:00 pm) — window to raise any grievance or seek variation in the merit list, through the concerned college with a copy to the CDC.
August 27, 2026, from 12:00 noon — admitted list under the first merit list displayed on the notice board, alongside the second merit list and waiting list, if required.
August 31, 2026, up to 4:00 pm — deadline to complete the entire admission process at the college.
September 7, 2026, up to 4:00 pm — colleges must submit the final admitted list, the approved admission committee record and admitted candidates' demand drafts to the Office of the College Development Council.
What Jammu students should do now
This route runs through the affiliated non-government college itself, not the main online admission portal, so check directly with the specific college you're targeting for its offline form and submission process. Keep your Class 12 marksheet, category and domicile certificates, identity proof and photographs ready before the August 20 cut-off, since colleges then have only two days to display a merit list and begin the grievance window.
The notice, No. CDC/026/861-68, is dated August 4, 2026 and was issued by the Dean Academic Affairs' office for uploading on the University's own announcements page — so treat that page, not a forwarded PDF or screenshot, as the reference copy if any date looks off.
