Where do Jammu's young swimmers, skaters, judokas and gymnasts train, and what is still unfinished? The J&K Sports Council's Secretary, Tazayun Mukhtar, went to see this week.
What she visited
- At M.A. Stadium: the swimming pool, skating rink, judo hall and table tennis hall.
- At the Indoor Sports Complex: the gymnastics centre, fencing hall and wushu hall.
She met athletes and parents and watched athletes demonstrate their skills.
What she directed
She told the Construction Division, Jammu, to finish pending works on time without compromising quality, and said parents' concerns would be addressed as a priority. The report gives no completion dates, budgets or list of the pending works, so we cannot say which halls are affected or when they will be done.
For context, our earlier piece Where Jammu's Sports Council Projects Stand covers other facility projects.
