Still without a postgraduate seat in Jammu? There is one window left, and it shuts tomorrow.
The story so far
Cluster University of Jammu has been filling its 2026-27 postgraduate and integrated seats in rounds since July. We covered Round 2 closing on 12 August and then Round 3 running to 24 August. Seats remained vacant after all of it.
What's new
Under Notification No. CLUJ/Acd/2026/1976-80, dated 1 September 2026 and issued by the Dean Academic Affairs, the university has opened a Spot Round Admission Portal covering PG, M.Ed., the three-year Integrated B.Ed.-M.Ed. and the five-year Integrated (UG-PG) programmes.
The portal is open from 1 September to 3 September 2026, and every eligible candidate must complete admission and registration formalities on or before 3 September. Candidates who have already registered in an earlier round do not need to register again, and eligibility criteria stay exactly as set out in the earlier notifications. The application fee is ₹250.
What is actually on offer
31 PG programmes — 995 seats. Among them M.A. English (70 seats, ₹21,527), M.A./M.Sc. Mathematics (70 seats, ₹22,105, at MAM College), M.Sc. Geology (55 seats, ₹29,004) and M.Sc. Food Science & Technology (20 seats, at GCW Gandhi Nagar).
Eight five-year integrated programmes — 285 seats, with course fees between ₹21,843 and ₹24,542.
M.Ed. — 50 seats (₹24,572, Government College of Education).
Integrated B.Ed.-M.Ed. — 50 seats (₹25,150, School of Teacher Education).
These sit in the city's own colleges — GGM Science College, MAM College, GCW Gandhi Nagar, the Government College of Education — so a seat here is a PG course you can reach on a city bus, at a fee that is a fraction of a private university's.
What to do today
Register on the admission portal and pay the ₹250 fee, then complete the admission formalities before the portal closes on 3 September. If you registered in Round 2 or Round 3 and were not allotted a seat, you do not start over — log in with what you already have.
Keep your Class 12 and graduation marksheets, category certificate and domicile ready in scanned form, because a spot round leaves no time to go looking for a document. And check the programme's college before you commit: the same subject can be taught at a different constituent college than the one you assumed, and the seat is tied to the college, not just the course.
A spot round is the university's last attempt to fill what earlier rounds left empty, so the seat you wanted may already be gone. But the ones still on the list go to whoever completes the process — and there is no round after this one.
