JKSSB Class-IV Form Opens October 14: The Live-Photo and Signature Checklist That Can Sink an Application

Applications for JKSSB Advertisement No. 09 of 2026 open at 12:00 AM on 14 October and close at 11:59 PM on 12 November 2026. The board has advertised 2,863 posts, among them Class-IV (Multi-Tasking Staff) and Sanitation Worker. You cannot submit the form without a live camera check, so read this before you sit down at a cyber cafe.

Before you log in

• A valid J&K domicile certificate is required.
• Apply only through the JKSSB portal: log in via "Apply on Various Posts", register as a new user with an email and mobile number, verify the email OTP, then finish the One-Time Registration (OTR) form.
• Open "Active Advertisement", pick this advertisement and click Apply.

The live-photo step

The form needs a live face capture through your device camera. An uploaded photo or a screenshot is not accepted, and the application cannot be submitted until verification succeeds.

• Use a working webcam or phone camera, a stable connection and a current Chrome, Edge or Firefox.
• Sit in good light, face the camera, keep your face centred and make sure only one face is in the frame.
• No masks, caps, hats, helmets or sunglasses.
• Do not refresh or close the page while it captures. If it fails, adjust the light or your position and retry.

Signature and fee

The signature file must be between 10 KB and 20 KB, sized 1.5 cm by 3.5 cm (height by width). The fee is paid online after you fill the form (net banking, debit card, UPI or credit card) through the "Pay Now" link, and the deadline for payment is also 12 November. Your dashboard must show the status Submitted, otherwise the application is incomplete. The fee amount was not stated in the source we read, so check the official notice.

Choose carefully

Cadre and department preferences cannot be edited after you submit. Category benefits must be claimed in the form and backed by certificates issued before the prescribed cut-off date. No printout is needed now; shortlisted candidates submit documents at the document-verification stage that follows the exam. The exam date has not been announced.
