The Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association (JKCA) issued an official notice on November 4, following instructions from the BCCI, inviting registered players to apply for the IPL 2027 Player Auction.
What do you have to send?
Players should send their first name, last name, email ID, parentage and date of birth, along with the requisite supporting documents. JKCA says all applications will be scrutinised and verified, and eligible players will then be registered online by the Association. Only players registered with JKCA will be considered through it.
The under-19 rule
An under-19 player is eligible only if registered with JKCA and having played at least one First-Class or List A match. For the 2027 season, a U-19 player must have been born on or after April 1, 2008.
Don't get caught out
- The deadline is a time, not just a date: 2 PM on November 15.
- Read the email address from the JKCA notice itself.
- The notice does not describe any later stage; none is claimed here.
