Jammu's athletic talent continues to shine on the national stage as an eight-member team from the MA Stadium Roller Skating Club claimed eight medals at the 2026 North Zone Roller Skating Championship concluded in Mohali, Punjab.
Dominance on the Track
Competing in inline speed skating and track races against athletes from Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, and Delhi, Jammu's youth squad delivered standout performances across multiple age categories:
Gold Medals: Aarav Sharma (500m Inline), Riya Gupta (1000m Track), and Master Kavyan (Rink Race 1)
Silver Medals: Saniya Malik (1500m Elimination) and Tanmay Bagal (500m Speed)
Bronze Medals: Sahil Bhagat and Prerna Sharma in point-to-point endurance events
Coach Raman Kumar commended the squad's dedication: "Despite limited synthetic track availability locally, our skaters trained tirelessly early morning at MA Stadium. Their victory secures their qualification for the All-India National Championship scheduled later this winter."
