An initial notification had kept schools in the winter zones of the Jammu Division shut, but a follow-up clarification from Education Minister Sakina Itoo confirmed that the closure now covers schools across the entire Union Territory — the Kashmir Division, and both the winter and summer zones of the Jammu Division — up to the higher secondary level.
