The story so far
In September we reported on the third Kashmir Marathon and its prize pool and a category only J&K runners can win, with entries closing on 25 September.
What's new
The official Kashmir Marathon website (kashmirmarathon.jk.gov.in) now carries a banner saying registrations close on 5 October 2026. We found no separate notice announcing an extension, so the site itself is the only confirmation of the new date.
- Race day: 25 October 2026
- Full marathon (42 km): ₹2,200
- Half marathon (21 km): ₹1,800
- Eligibility: 18 years or older
How to register
Choose a role (runner or volunteer), enter your contact details, verify and pay the fee online. The site has separate prize-money and prize-rules pages; check them for the J&K runners' category before you register, as we did not confirm its current details.
Still not announced
The pages we read did not give cut-off times. If you are travelling from Jammu, book a place to stay early; the site has an accommodation section.
