Students still seeking a seat through J&K's Phase-II undergraduate admissions need to distinguish two deadlines: online registration closes at 10:00 PM on Monday, 28 September 2026, while admission formalities conclude at 5:00 PM on Wednesday, 30 September.
The Directorate of Colleges' Centralised Admission Portal carries the final-extension notice dated 25 September for four-year undergraduate and five-year integrated postgraduate programmes. This updates our earlier report on the September 15 window.
Which route applies to your programme?
For programmes listed in Annexure A, submit preferences by 10:00 PM on 28 September. In-person counselling is on Tuesday, 29 September: report at 10:00 AM for an 11:00 AM start.
Programmes in Annexure B use walk-in admission and verification, from 26 to 30 September. Candidates report directly to the concerned college. Fee payment and physical verification of original documents must be completed by 5:00 PM on 30 September. Programme preference filling is not required for this route.
Walk-in does not mean registration-free. The portal says every candidate must register centrally. Do not assume that the later college deadline extends tonight's online registration window. Check the annexures, college-wise vacant seats and college helpline before travelling.
Who can participate?
The portal lists Class 12 biannual, supplementary and private examination pass-outs of 2026, and registered candidates who have not secured admission. Students already admitted to a college are not eligible for this round. The displayed application fee is ₹200, non-refundable.
Admissions are against vacant seats. The portal calls this the final extension and states that no further extensions will be granted; this report makes no claim about an unannounced future admission round. Classwork will begin as notified by the concerned college.
