Update: Cluster University's PG Round 2 Actually Runs to August 15 - but Two Tracks Close Today

CLUJ's Round 2 has two different closing dates, not one. PG, M.Ed and B.Ed-M.Ed have until August 15; ITEP and 7th-semester entry shut today.

The story so far

We reported on 10 August that Cluster University Jammu's PG Round 2 was closing on 12 August, and ran a two-day checklist for anyone still deciding.

What's changed

Checking the university's live admission portal today, the picture is more forgiving than that for most applicants — and tighter for some. Round 2 does not have one deadline. It has two.

Closing on 15 August 2026:

  • Post Graduate programmes (31 available) — Round 2 open, 15 July to 15 August.

  • M.Ed. — Round 2 open, 15 July to 15 August.

  • Three Year Integrated B.Ed–M.Ed — Round 2 open, 15 July to 15 August.

Closing today, 12 August 2026:

  • Four Year Integrated Teacher Education Programme (ITEP) — Round 2, 24 June to 12 August, admission on NCET 2026 scores.

  • 7th Semester Inter-University Admission (21 programmes) — Round 1, 15 July to 12 August.

Registration is Rs 250, non-refundable, across all of them. If you are an ITEP or lateral-entry applicant, today is genuinely your last day. If you are a PG applicant who thought you had missed it, you have not.

The rule most PG applicants get wrong

The one worth repeating from the Round 1 notification, because it costs people seats every year: you can apply without having sat CUET-PG or CLUJET. The university's own wording is that an applicant who has not appeared in either "shall also be eligible to apply" — such candidates are considered in the spot round for the leftover seats.

Selection order otherwise runs: first preference to candidates with at least 40 marks in the relevant CUET-PG paper who meet programme eligibility; then CLUJET composite merit, which is 70 per cent academic merit and 30 per cent CLUJET score for two-year PG programmes, and a 50-50 split for one-year PG.

Admission is provisional on marks up to the 5th or 7th semester and confirmed once you pass the 6th or 8th.

What to do today

Register at admissions.clujammu.ac.in, pay the Rs 250 and upload your documents. What follows is a rank list, subject-wise seat allotment, then course-fee payment and physical document verification at the relevant PG school or college — in Round 1 that verification ran within days of allotment, so keep originals to hand rather than in another district.

Two tracks already closed earlier and are not coming back this cycle: Design Your Degree, and the Five Year Integrated UG-PG programmes, which shut on 31 July.
