  • New last date: Friday, 11 September 2026
  • New venue: Library Block, Cluster University of Jammu (not GGM Science College)
  • Time: 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM
  • Open to: PG and Five-Year Integrated Master's (FYIMP) applicants

The story so far

Cluster University of Jammu has been filling its 2026-27 postgraduate and integrated seats in rounds since July. On 2 September we reported that a spot round had opened and would shut on 3 September.

It did not end there. The university issued a fresh notification on 4 September scheduling walk-in admissions for 7 and 8 September, moved the first day's venue by corrigendum on 6 September, and has now extended the whole exercise again.

What's changed

Under Notification No. CLUJ/Acd./2026/2022-26, dated 9 September 2026, the Office of the Dean Academic Affairs says the admission process for PG and Five-Year Integrated Master's Programmes has been “further extended up to 11.09.2026 (Friday)”.

The venue has changed, and this is the part to get right. The earlier rounds ran at GGM Science College — the Conference Hall on 8 September, and the Browsing Centre on 7 September after the corrigendum. The extension notice puts the round at the Library Block of Cluster University of Jammu. If you turn up at GGM Science College on Friday out of habit, you will be in the wrong building.

Candidates are told to “complete the admission/registration formalities on the spot at the Admission Centre within the stipulated time”.

Which programmes are open?

The 4 September notification named coordinators for fourteen PG programmes:

Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Botany, Zoology, Geography, Linguistics, MPA, Geology, Environmental Sciences with a minor specialisation in Renewable Energy, History, Commerce, English and MA Education.

Eight of those also run as Five-Year Integrated Master's Programmes: Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Botany, Zoology, Geography, Linguistics and MPA.

Geology, EVS-Renewable Energy, History, Commerce, English and MA Education are listed at PG level only.

Two things the notification does not say

Worth knowing before you plan your Friday:

  • It publishes no vacant-seat count. Neither the original notification nor the extension says how many seats are left in any programme, so there is no way to judge your odds in advance. A spot round exists because seats are unfilled, but the number is not public.
  • It publishes no document checklist or fee. Since verification happens on the spot, carry your complete academic file — marks certificates, degree or provisional certificate, category and domicile documents, ID and photographs — rather than assuming what will be asked for.

Programme coordinators were directed to be available for the round, so if you are unsure whether your subject still has room, the department is the place to ask before Friday morning.
