Netball rarely makes the front page in Jammu, but a UT-level championship is coming to the city from 30 October to 1 November 2026.
The details we have
- Organiser: Netball Association of Jammu and Kashmir, under the J&K Sports Council
- Dates: 30 October to 1 November 2026
- City: Jammu
- Who can take part: teams and players from all districts of the Union Territory
- Registration and eligibility: call 9796100101
The announcement, carried by Daily Excelsior on 3 October, says the championship aims to "provide a competitive platform to netball players from across the Union Territory and encourage greater participation in the sport."
What has not been announced
The report does not name the venue within Jammu, the age categories, the entry fee or the registration deadline. The only route it gives is the association's phone number, so that is where to ask first.
Who should care
College and school sports teams that already play netball or basketball and want a UT-level stage, and any player who has not had a clear entry route before. If your institution has a sports department, ask it to call the association now, since the deadline has not been published.
