Update: AIIMS Jammu Senior Resident Applications Extended to October 15, With Four More Posts

The story so far

AIIMS Vijaypur, Jammu invited applications for Senior Resident and Demonstrator posts under Employment Notification No. 04/2026, dated 17 September 2026, as Cycle 2 of its rolling advertisement. The notice listed 86 tentative posts, including backlog posts, across 35 departments and specialties. We listed the opening in our jobs section in late September.

What's new

Addendum-1 (No. AIIMS/JMU/Rec.SR2/2026/02, dated 10 October 2026) changes two things:

• Four more posts: one each in General Medicine (unreserved), General Surgery (SC), Orthopaedics (EWS) and Pathology (ST), because those posts fell vacant. Added to the original 86, that makes 90, though the addendum itself states only the four additions.
• A new deadline: the last date for the online form, and the cut-off date for judging eligibility, is now 15 October 2026 (Thursday). The original notice said 30 September.

All other terms of Notification 04/2026 stay the same.

What to do before Thursday

• Apply through the AIIMS Jammu recruitment portal, recruitment.aiimsjammu.edu.in.
• Your qualifying degree must have been passed, with the result declared, by the cut-off date, now 15 October.
• OBC-NCL and EWS certificates must have been issued on or after 1 April 2026; older ones make the category claim invalid.
• If you are in government service, apply through proper channel or carry a No Objection Certificate to the interview.
• Candidates are provisionally allowed to the interview, but the scrutiny committee checks qualification, age, category and experience documents on the day and can cancel a candidature.

The interview date has not been announced; it will be notified separately. Interviews are at the Board Room, 6th Floor, Academic Block, AIIMS Vijaypur, with reporting at 9:30 AM. Pay, age limit and fee are set out in the base rolling advertisement (Notification 03/2026), which we have not reproduced here; read it before applying.
