There are 61 undergraduate seats still open at SKUAST-Jammu, and the university is calling eligible CET-UG 2026 candidates to Chatha for a fourth counselling round on Monday, 24 August.

This is an in-person, same-day process. Reporting begins at 9:30 AM, counselling starts at 10:00 AM sharp, and the venue is Baba Jitto Auditorium at SKUAST-Jammu's Chatha campus. The notice calls candidates in General Rank 1 to 3817, covering CET scores from 171.50 to 0.25.

Where the 61 vacancies are

  • BVSc & AH: 18 seats

  • BSc (Hons) Agriculture: 16 seats

  • BSc (Hons) Horticulture: 10 seats

  • BTech Biotechnology: 8 seats

  • BTech Dairy Technology: 5 seats

  • BSc Life Sciences: 3 seats

  • BTech Agricultural Engineering: 1 seat

The published matrix breaks these vacancies down across open merit, reserved categories and self-financing seats. Availability can also change if a seat opens through an upgrade or cancellation during the round, so candidates should read the category-level matrix rather than rely only on the headline total.

The university is inviting more candidates than the number of seats available. Being inside the called rank range therefore does not guarantee admission; allotment depends on merit, category, the option selected and the seat available when the candidate appears before the committee.

Your document checklist

Bring originals and self-attested photocopies of the Matric certificate for date of birth, Class 12 marks card, domicile certificate, migration certificate, character certificate and category certificate where applicable. You also need the SKUAST-J CET-UG 2026 admit card, the downloaded counselling option form and the university's document checklist.

Keep the papers arranged in the university's checklist order before leaving home. The notice requires the candidate to be present when their name is announced. Arriving after the relevant turn can mean that a seat available earlier is no longer available.

A candidate or representative who missed an earlier counselling round may be allowed to participate after paying a non-refundable ₹1,500 counselling fee, but can only be considered for seats available when their turn comes. The notice says such a candidate cannot claim a seat already allotted to someone else on the basis of a higher merit position.

Be ready to pay on Monday

If provisionally selected, you must deposit the full programme fee on the day of counselling. Payment can be made online through UPI or net banking, or offline at the J&K Bank counter at the venue. Failure to pay that day cancels the provisional selection and returns the seat to the vacancy pool.

Before travelling, download the option form, recheck the live admissions page for any correction and make sure the account or payment method you plan to use can cover the full programme fee. Candidates considering a self-financing seat should also read the fee undertaking in the notice before choosing it.
