Why Jammu applicants should look closely
Railway recruitment is regional: you pick a board when you apply, and the Jammu-Srinagar board is one of them. One aggregator table lists 66 posts for that board, but we could not confirm the split by post against the official notice, so check it before choosing a board.
How selection works
Two computer-based test stages, then document verification and a medical examination. The first stage has 100 questions in 90 minutes (General Awareness 40, Mathematics 30, Reasoning 30) with one-third negative marking.
Don't get caught out
- Apply only through the official RRB portal, rrbapply.gov.in.
- Candidates still awaiting final results are reported to be ineligible.
- Keep a scan of your photo, signature and category certificate ready before the last evening.
We could not open the official notice on the railway recruitment site, so the details above come from secondary summaries that agree on dates and posts; confirm on the RRB site before paying the fee. Sources: JK Today; Sarkari Jobs.
