If you've ever doodled a sportsperson mid-sprint in the margins of your notebook, the National Anti-Doping Agency (NADA) just gave that habit a purpose — and a prize. NADA India, working with MyGov and the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, has opened "Road to Glory – Winning the Right Way," a national painting contest for 2026 built around a simple idea: true champions win through Clean Sport, not shortcuts.
The brief asks entrants to portray athletes achieving success the honest way — through training, discipline and fair play, not banned substances. It's open nationwide, to artists, students, sportspersons and citizens of any age, which means a school student in Trikuta Nagar and a working artist in Gandhi Nagar are competing on the same footing.
What you're allowed to submit
Rules are specific, so read them before you pick up a brush:
One original painting per person. Traditional media only — watercolour, acrylic, oil, poster colour, crayon, pencil colour, charcoal or mixed media.
Size: A3 or A4 paper/canvas is preferred.
Digital upload: a JPEG or PNG scan/photo of the finished work, under 10 MB, with a short note (max 150 words) explaining the painting.
No AI, no copies. AI-generated, traced or plagiarised entries are disqualified outright.
Dates and prizes
The window is open now — entries opened July 15 and close August 15, 2026, giving a full month to plan and paint. Judging weighs theme relevance (30%), creativity and originality (25%), artistic quality (25%) and how well the message lands (20%).
Winners take home cash plus a NADA-branded hamper: ₹4,000 for first place, ₹3,000 for second, ₹2,000 for third, with hampers alone for ranks four through ten.
How to enter
Submissions go through the MyGov platform — you'll need to log in (or create a free MyGov profile) and upload your entry via the contest's task page. There's no entry fee.
For young Jammu artists looking to build a portfolio, this is a low-barrier way to get a piece of work in front of a national jury and a national ministry — worth doing even if the cash prize isn't the point. A month is enough time to do it properly rather than rush it in the last week.
