If you qualified NEET-MDS 2026 and want to compete for seats under Jammu and Kashmir's 50% quota, a short registration window is now open. The J&K Board of Professional Entrance Examinations (BOPEE) opened registration at 11:30 AM on 19 August and will close it at midnight on 23 August 2026.

This is not a counselling-choice window yet. It is the step that places eligible candidates on BOPEE's list for subsequent counselling. The board says anyone who does not register and upload the required documents before the deadline will not be considered.

What are the revised qualifying scores?

BOPEE's Notification No. 155-BOPEE of 2026 uses the revised NEET-MDS cut-offs notified by the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences. The qualifying score is 308 out of 960 for General and EWS candidates, 289 for General-PwD candidates, and 271 for SC, ST and OBC candidates, including PwD candidates in those groups.

Meeting the cut-off makes you eligible to register; it does not guarantee a seat. Allotment will depend on merit, eligibility, available seats and the counselling rules that BOPEE issues.

What must you upload?

Keep clear scanned copies ready before starting the form. BOPEE asks for:

  • BDS degree certificate;

  • registration with the State or Union Territory Dental Council or the Dental Council of India;

  • proof that the compulsory rotating internship was completed by 31 May 2026;

  • domicile certificate;

  • reserved-category certificate, where applicable;

  • difficult-area certificate, where applicable;

  • NEET-MDS 2026 scorecard;

  • a no-objection certificate for in-service candidates; and

  • the prescribed undertaking for candidates from Ladakh, where applicable.

The board may reject incomplete or illegible uploads. Candidates should also check that names, category details and dates agree across their scorecard and certificates.

What happens after registration?

BOPEE will use the registered pool for the next stages of counselling. Watch the official notifications page for the provisional merit list, counselling schedule and any instructions on preferences or reporting. Do not treat a social-media repost or coaching-page graphic as the final timetable.
