If your name is in JKBOPEE's second-round B.Ed selection list, the online counselling part is over. You now have to download the provisional allotment letter and physically report to the assigned college by 5 pm on 21 August 2026.

Notification 153-BOPEE of 2026, issued on 17 August, covers B.Ed admissions in government and private colleges across J&K and Ladakh. Its annexure includes candidates allotted to Government College of Education, Jammu, making this an immediate city deadline rather than a distant state-level notice.

Do these five things

  1. Log in to the JKBOPEE portal with your own credentials.

  2. Generate and download the provisional allotment letter.

  3. Check the exact college in the selection-list annexure; do not assume the institution from your preference order.

  4. Carry every required original document to the college.

  5. Complete the college's admission formalities before 5 pm on Friday, 21 August.

Original documents to carry

  • Qualifying marks certificate for 10+2+3

  • J&K or Ladakh domicile certificate

  • Category certificate, where applicable

  • Date-of-birth certificate

  • Any additional certificate required by the allotted college under its rules

The Board fixes 26 March 2026 as the cut-off date for validity of a category certificate because that was the final date for the B.Ed application form. Colleges have been told to verify reserved-category documents carefully.

Don't leave the portal step to the last hour

JKBOPEE has asked colleges to keep admission counters open even on holidays or off days so the deadline can be met. It also warns candidates not to wait for the final day because an online-portal delay can still leave them without time to finish the physical admission.

The allotment is provisional. If a selected candidate does not join by 5 pm on 21 August, the seat is treated as cancelled and the claim on that allotted seat ends. A candidate who wants to cancel after joining must also submit the cancellation request by the same deadline so the college can update the admission portal.

After the college completes admission, verify your joining status on the JKBOPEE portal and keep the joining certificate. That final check matters if the portal and your paper receipt ever disagree.
