The university has sanctioned a One-Time Special Chance for reappear and failure candidates to clear backlogs accumulated up to Academic Year 2026, across both Professional and Non-Professional UG and PG programmes. It is, by its own wording, a one-time window — not a permanent relaxation.
The change, in one line
If you are a University of Jammu student carrying uncleared papers from an earlier session, you are being offered a fresh, sanctioned opportunity to sit and clear them — even if the normal chances for that exam had run out. The decision rests on the 123rd University Syndicate's Resolution No. 123.50, dated 8 July 2026, and was notified on 31 July 2026 by the Dean, Academic Affairs.
What it costs
This chance is not free, and the premium is the detail to plan for. The fee is the existing examination fee for that programme plus an additional 25%. So budget for a quarter more than the standard reappear fee for your course — the university has set this under a committee order of March 2026, not a figure that varies case to case.

The honest gap: dates are not out yet
Here is what the notification does not yet say. It sets no application window and no exam-form deadline — those will be issued separately by the Controller of Examinations. In other words, the chance is confirmed; the calendar is not. Do not assume you have missed it, and do not assume it is open today. The right move is to watch the university's examination notifications page over the coming days for the form-submission dates.

List every paper you still have to clear, with the exact course and semester/year.
