Young people in the wider Jammu region can now register interest for free A.I. (Artificial Intelligence) – Technocrat training under PMKVY 4.0. The live J&K Skill Development Mission enrolment portal lists the course at Government ITI Kathua, Government ITI Hiranagar and Government ITI Samba.
The listing is useful for students and early-career applicants who can travel from Jammu, but it is not a Jammu city batch. The portal currently shows Kathua and Samba among the selectable districts and names those three government ITIs as the active centres for this course.
What the programme includes
Training and certification are advertised as 100% free.
The certificate is described as NCVET-recognised.
On-the-job training is mandatory where applicable.
Attendance uses Aadhaar-enabled face authentication.
The portal advertises a ₹2,500 incentive after successful certification.
JKSDM says the training is being delivered through government institutions under the Short Term Training component of PMKVY 4.0. A national government update published on August 11 says that, as of June 30, PMKVY 4.0 had trained or oriented 53,449 candidates and certified 25,466 candidates in AI-related job roles.
How to register interest
Open the official JKSDM candidate-registration page and follow its PMKVY 4.0 enrolment link.
Select Kathua or Samba as the district.
For Kathua, choose Government ITI Kathua or Government ITI Hiranagar. For Samba, choose Government ITI Samba.
Select A.I. (Artificial Intelligence) – Technocrat as the course.
Submit the enrolment request only after checking that your mobile number is Aadhaar-linked; JKSDM says the institute will contact applicants to confirm eligibility and enrolment.
What the portal does not yet say
No application deadline, batch start date, class schedule or course duration is published on the enrolment page. It only says batches are starting soon and seats are limited. Applicants should therefore treat the form as an expression of interest, wait for confirmation from the institute and avoid making travel or work commitments until the centre shares the timetable.
