Your seat allotment is not the last step. Central University of Jammu has scheduled physical reporting and document verification for BTech admissions on 2 and 3 September 2026 at its Rahya-Suchani campus in Samba. Classes start the next day, so the university is asking students to arrive ready to stay.

Pack these 14 originals
Class 10 marksheet and pass certificate.
Class 12 marksheet and pass certificate.
JEE Main 2026 Common Rank List rank card.
JoSAA or CSAB seat-allotment letter, or the relevant CU Jammu admissions email where applicable.
School-leaving or transfer certificate.
Migration certificate.
Fee-payment receipts or acknowledgement slip.
Valid identity proof such as Aadhaar or PAN.
Character certificate from the last school attended or from a gazetted officer.
Valid caste or EWS certificate in the Government of India format, if applicable. OBC-NCL and EWS certificates must have been issued after 1 April 2026.
Gap certificate, if applicable.
Medical-fitness certificate.
Five recent passport-size photographs of the candidate.
Two passport-size photographs each of the candidate's mother and father.
Carry one self-attested photocopy set of the full bundle as well. Keep originals and copies in the same order so verification does not turn into a search through loose papers.
If you want a hostel room
Hostel requests can be submitted during physical reporting. Allotment is subject to availability and the fee is ₹18,000 per semester. The university specifically tells hostel-seeking candidates to arrive with luggage because allotment is processed on the reporting day.
That does not mean a room is guaranteed. Keep a backup plan for the first few days and do not assume the fee can be paid later unless the hostel desk confirms it; the notice says the hostel fee is due at reporting.
Do not get caught out
Check that the name and date of birth match across your JEE rank card, identity proof and school certificates.
Reserved-category candidates should verify the certificate format and issue date now, not at the reporting counter.
Print the allotment letter and fee receipts even if they are available on your phone.
If your migration, medical or character certificate is still pending, contact the department before travelling rather than arriving with an unexplained gap.
Plan for classes from 4 September; this is not a report-and-return visit for students taking a hostel room.
