Missed the earlier architecture-admission cycle? The J&K Board of Professional Entrance Examinations has opened a fresh offline application window for vacant B.Arch seats. Applications are being accepted at the BOPEE offices in Jammu and Srinagar until 4:00 PM on Friday, 22 August 2026.

The available seats are at the School of Architecture, Government College of Engineering and Technology, Kot Bhalwal, and the School of Architecture, Safapora. BOPEE's notice does not state the number of vacancies, and final intake remains subject to the competent authority's approval.

Your eligibility checklist

  • You must have passed 10+2 with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects, plus one permitted subject, with at least 45% aggregate marks; or

  • you must hold a 10+3 diploma with Mathematics and at least 45% aggregate marks.

The permitted third subjects listed by BOPEE include Chemistry, Biology, technical vocational subjects, Computer Science, Information Technology, Informatics Practices, Engineering Graphics, Business Studies and Entrepreneurship.

What to take to the BOPEE office

Submit the application physically between 11:00 AM and 4:00 PM. Carry your domicile certificate, qualifying-examination marks certificate, NATA or JEE scorecard, date-of-birth certificate and category certificate if you are claiming a reservation. The application fee is ₹1,200, payable through a debit or credit card at the BOPEE office's point-of-sale machine.

How merit will be decided

BOPEE says selection will be based on marks in the qualifying 10+2 or 10+3 examination. If two candidates have the same score, higher Mathematics marks will break the tie; if the tie remains, the older candidate will rank higher.

Because the form is offline and the window is brief, Jammu applicants should avoid leaving the visit until the final hour. Verify the notice number and office timings on BOPEE's own website before travelling.
