Poem
Tawi at Dusk
The river keeps the day’s last light,
folds it under Bahu’s wall.
The city hums its scooter-song;
the bridge remembers all.
The vendors pack their carts away,
the temple bells go thin.
A kite the colour of a wish
reels its evening in.
And somewhere on the footbridge, two
friends argue cricket scores —
the Tawi carries both their laughs
past both its patient shores.
